Dalmatian
These medium-sized dogs have average height of around 22 inches and can weight as much as 70 pounds. Known for their spotted coats, Dalmatian are muscular with powerful hind quarters that provide them with an effortless gait. Originally this breed was bred to guard horses and coaches and as such make dependable watch dogs. They are loyal and loving house dogs and make great hiking and running partners.
